PHP Skills

So, I'm going back to the basics; kind of. I'm refreshing my PHP skills and learning more advanced skills. I've gotten away from building PHP websites and have resorted to just using WordPress. Time to get down and dirty in the raw code! If you are trying to learn PHP code and your tired of staring aimlessly at snippets of code, I recommend the Visual QuickPro Guide books. They give you a full page of code and explain every line. These books are great! I will be posting the learning samples on the website soon.

Checking in

Wow, it has been a wild ride since my last update. Not long after my last post, my job duties rapidly changed at work. I now have a new found respect for Website Administrators. Not only are they expected to make the website code work, but the entire operation needs to work. Everything from graphics to databases. It's a big responsibility and with all challenges there are great rewards of accomplishment. The network of support that a Website Administrator needs or currently has is endless. Knowing where to go to get help fast and efficiently is a big piece of the puzzle. Sometimes support is paid for and some support is free. To me it doesn't matter where the support comes from as long as it's reliable.

Website Updates

Yes, I know my new website has only been live for a couple days and I already have updates. I've added Xtreme Measures website to my "More Websites" page. After thinking about my new site, I remembered that I'd left off a website. Look around and have fun!

New Look

Welcome, to my newly redesigned website! As you can see there have been many much needed changes. My goal was to make this a more friendlier on-line portfolio. Where I can not only show you projects I have worked on, but share new website techniques and fun information.

Some of my college projects can be found under Portfolio, located at the top of your screen. I've also added in there websites I have worked on after I completed the E-Commerce Website Development program at Alexandria Technical College. The top navigation doesn't have many links, but keep an eye on the side bar. Depending on the page, will depend on the information that is presented there along with inspirational quotes.

I've also included a poll on the side bar of the Home page. This is my first step to inviting viewer interaction on my website. Feel free to send me questions to put on my poll. After all, I'm only one person.
