Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow.

My portfolio page has many examples of projects and websites that I have created or participated on a team to complete. There are more websites to view under the "More Websites" link located on the right sidebar.
Scheels.com is an exciting website that has taken on many transformations. This site has taken a team of highly skilled people to become a great online shopping experience with a knowledgeable community. When I joined the Scheels.com team, I was tasked with creating HTML frames and coding CSS. Almost a year later, I'm still with the Scheels.com team and since the launch of the new website; I'm tasked with assisting in the maintaince of the website. I always look forward to new and exciting features for scheels.com
Sandhills Archery ClubSandhillsarchers.org (Sandhills Archery Club) was my first full PHP website. This site started out as a Microsoft Word website, then I tested my newly aquired PHP skills to build an interactive and aesthetically pleasing website. The Scores page has been setup with PHP that searches a folder for CVS files and can display the CVS file (also known as the League Scores) to the viewer. This setup was the best way to post many results quickly. I used Blueprint CSS Framework for the layout of the website, graphics and colors.
UnderCover QuiltersUCquilters.com (UnderCover Quilters) is my first Wordpress site. In the process of planning this site, I realized a need for a simple GUI that would allow the client to update this site without assistance. After deciding how this website should be designed, I went into the Wordpress code and made a few changes that disabled the blog feature but allowed updates to be easily performed.
This Flash header was created for the Sandhills Archery Club. All the images were created in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and then the images were imported in Adobe Flash CS3. Flash's built in tools were used to manipulate the effect of a rising sun with an arrow shooting in the background. I used ActionScript to prevent the animation from looping. This header was not incorporated into the most recent design of Sandhills Archery Club.
JavaScript JavaScriptForm validation is where I use the most JavaScript. Although JavaScript has many uses, I would say the most common use is user input validation. In the example I provided, I setup the base JavaScript for the billing information page, shipping method page, and the payment information page of scheels.com. Being this website is a team project; after the initial JavaScript was setup, JSP and JSTL was added to the forms for more functionality and validation. I have since made a few more validation changes that became necessary after the original setup.
Css CSSThis website (jaschneider.com) is a great example of CSS. The layout and rollover buttons are all controlled by CSS. I also worked on the CSS for scheels.com. In the scheels.com css, I was challenged with different browsers reading the same css differently. I quickly learned how to use CSS hacks to my advantage and I learn that the larger the website the more important CSS organization becomes.
PhotoShop Adobe PhotoshopAdobe Photoshop is used for all of my image work. I'll alter photos or create my own images. I have been using Adobe Photoshop for about four years. The image sample I've choose to show you, is a well used image. Therefore, these pictures are a have acquired some grain in the images.
Fargo Marathon/5k PhotographyThis photo was taken with a Canon SX120. It was a partly cloudy afternoon, with the 5k about to begin. One runner was adding the last piece of running equipment to his shoe.
